Deapcant

The "Mundane" tongue of the Saegrun Mythos. Born during the chaotic Age of the Surge, it began not as a language of culture, but as a desperate Survival Pidgin. The Physics of Necessity: When the Wellborn emerged from the flood, the cosmos became crowded. The High Tongues (Draelygg, Alunith) were too dangerous and volatile for casual interaction between the solid Primordials and the fluid Wellborn. A shared interface was required to negotiate territory, trade resources, and avoid mutual destruction. The Evolution: Starting as a rough amalgamation of simplified roots, it evolved over millions of years into a robust, modular language capable of describing the complex machinery of the later ages. It is the language of the gray world, the insulator that allowed civilization to function.
