Thursa
The Thursa are the Sessile Custodians of the Deep Arbor. They are not merely giants; they are localized, sentient manifestations of the Arbor's root system. Their existence is defined by the Law of the Severed Root.
The Deepened State (Rooted): Their natural state. They reside in the Glimmerloam, physically attached to the Arbor. In this state, they possess infinite sustenance and vast perception but cannot move.
The Severed State (Mobile): To travel, a Thursa must shear their own umbilicus. This is a traumatic amputation that leaves them "bleeding" essence. A Severed Thursa is a finite being who must eventually re-root or calcify into a statue.
