Glimmerloam

A rare, pearlescent soil found only in the deepest, most ancient warrens of the Underweave. It is not merely earth; it is the Arboreal Placenta, the only substance in the mundane plane that acts as a perfect, uncorrupted osmotic interface with the Void Tree.

Unlike the Wells, which are wounds that leak, the Glimmerloam allows for a gentle, two-way metabolic exchange with the Arbor. It is the bed in which the Thursa root themselves to feed, and the only medium capable of germinating a Seed of the Arbor (Aethriggon).
