The Law of Possession: Because they are the resource the universe craves, they possess an intense, biological drive to hoard and protect their environment. They are the jealous guardians of the Deeps.
The Law of Viscosity: A Wellborn exists as a "Sapborne" vessel—a semi-permeable husk containing a high-pressure core of living Humor. They "weep" essence constantly. As they age, they Coagulate, hardening from fluid "Spillers" into armored "Stewards," eventually calcifying unless they bathe in their home Well.
